About Me
Welcome! I’m Erin, mama to two little kids. I’m a woman of many hats- mother, teacher, toy maker, author, gardener, & crafter, among many other things. Our family lives in Indiana, where we try to make the most of life, which means things can be a bit chaotic at times. Our days are filled with homeschooling, weeding, naps in the striped hammock, and pie baking, of course!-

Party Poms Tutorial
My newest favorite party decoration are tissue paper poms. I first saw them on Etsy and was able to track down instructions on how to make them on Martha Stewart. Since then I’ve made a bunch for different parties and they’ve been a huge hit! So much so that the four I made for Stella’s [...]

There were beautiful and colorful flowers everywhere we went it seemed. Lots of purple [...]

Our newish patio table
While cleaning up and putting everything from the fairy tea party life decided to give us some lemons. The glass top on the patio table exploded sending bits of glass everywhere while Nick was putting the umbrella back in place. What a mess! We thought about replacing the whole table but seemed awfully wasteful since [...]

A Fairy Tea Party
The highlight of our week was last Friday when we hosted our very first fairy tea party. We happened to have perfect weather for the party, the sun was shining and it wasn’t too terribly hot. Early in the morning we went decorated the backyard with lots of play silks and some tissue paper poms. [...]

From the garden…
As summer arrives (Happy Summer Solstice!) here in Indiana all the beautiful red sails and butter crisp lettuce in the garden is getting ready to bolt, so this week we ate lots of salads in hopes of keeping any lettuce from going to waste. I always think its a shame that lettuce season is over [...]

Butterfly, butterfly…
There is something truly magical about butterflies, particularly for children. They are colorful; they dance around in the sky- all the things magic is made of. This year for Stella’s 5th birthday she wanted a “butterfly garden” more than anything. A butterfly garden is one of those kits where you send away for caterpillars and [...]
