Stella has discovered the game of tic-tac-toe recently. It seems everywhere I go I find little bits of paper with tic-tac-toe games scrawled on them. It’s even cuter when I realized that she is playing these games with herself because the little guy isn’t quite old enough to play yet.
We decided to make paper-free version of tic-tac-toe that she can take on the go.
All you will need are some rocks, paint, paintbrush and a bit of chalk.
Make sure your stones are nice and clean. Once they are clean and dry go ahead and paint some Xs and Os on them. If you are feeling creative you could do other shapes like stars and hearts, or bumble bees and ladybugs. After letting the paint dry you are ready to go. If you would like yon can spray them with a bit clear finish to protect the paint.
Then it’s time to play tic-tac-toe! Just draw the board and you are ready to go. The great part is that you don’t have to keep re-drawing.

Brilliant! I love it!
Oh Stella…I remember playing tic-tac-toe all by myself too. Tell her she should teach Rainer how to play! (maybe I’ll prep him a bit.)
I love this idea!
I think I am going to use this idea (or a variation of it) for a christmas gift this year. Thanks for the idea!
