About Me
Welcome! I’m Erin, mama to two little kids. I’m a woman of many hats- mother, teacher, toy maker, author, gardener, & crafter, among many other things. Our family lives in Indiana, where we try to make the most of life, which means things can be a bit chaotic at times. Our days are filled with homeschooling, weeding, naps in the striped hammock, and pie baking, of course!-

Happy Birthday!
Six year ago today I was starting one of the most amazing journeys of my life. I was in labor with my oldest child, Stella. For nine months I had dreamt of this day, I had imagined it, planned for it and secretly been terrified of it. I wasn’t worried about pain or contractions or [...]
Happy New Years!
Happy New Years! Today we are celebrating our son Elliot’s 3rd birthday & the promise of an exciting & bright New Year! Isn’t that chandler above just beautiful? To me it looks like it belongs in a swanky ballroom where on New Years a glamorous couple would kiss at the stroke of midnight while holding [...]

Another Chapter
Today begins the third decade of my life. In thirty years I have accomplished so much and have ended up on a path I could not have foreseen. Life is truly amazing, though sometimes we are too busy and to caught up in the moment to fully appreciate it. My mother called me last night [...]

The last of the apples
Last week we enjoyed our yearly Autumn visit to the picturesque Anderson Orchard. For the first time we went at the end of the season and only Golden Delicious were left on the trees. I have to say though that the Golden Delicious surely lived up to their name and were miles apart from their [...]

Four years ago today…
I married my husband. It would have been hard to see the life we have now from were we stood then but that is what makes life a bit more exciting.

Frosty
It’s hard to believe that the first frost of the season is here. I won’t lie and pretend I’m too horribly sad. I love the cooler weather that requires a sweater and a warm cup of cider in my favorite mug. There is something satisfying also about seeing my frosty breath on early mornings while [...]

Simply Paper
Sometimes the most simple (and easily overlooked) everyday items can bring so much joy. Take the humble piece of paper. We write on it, color it, and even sometimes paint it- though that depends on how much time we have to clean up the inevitable mess. In each of those activities paper is passive- it [...]
